Placement Communications Assistant

The role is to support and assist the Communications Team with marketing, campaigns, research, data analysis and growth.

Dorset Parent Infant Partnership (DorPIP) is a Registered charity, established in 2017 by Vivian Allen.? We offer parent infant psychotherapy and attachment led infant massage to parents to be and parents or care givers from conception to when baby is age 2. It is vitally important for the life outcomes of infants that this earliest relationship is safe, secure, and appropriately responsive. We help parents to attune to their babies needs so that they can give them the best start in life.?? 

 

Job Summary

DorPIP is seeking a Placement Communications Assistant to complement the existing communications team in their duties. You will be responsible for continuing relationships with stakeholders, upholding our social media presence, writing blogs, Newsletters and press releases, data analysis, market research as well as working with the communications team to offer support where required.? 

 

 

Key roles and responsibilities

Maintain and further develop relationships with stakeholders and organisations in the Parent Infant Relationship world? 

Support the Communications Manager with the production of quarterly newsletters for general release, as well as four additional newsletters to stakeholders

Support the Communications Manager to produce PR and blogs for release on website, including researching potential partners for collaboration. 

Report project progress using Google Analytics and similar programs

Assist in organising events, fundraisers and steering group meetings as and when required

Any projects or ad hoc tasks that are relevant to the delivery of the service and as required by the Communications Manager 

 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Excellent MS Office knowledge, and data management

Outstanding organisational and time management skills

Familiarity with office gadgets and applications such as Asana, Trello, Monday and CRMs 

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Discretion and confidentiality

It is in the nature of the work of DorPIP that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied. All staff and associates and volunteers are therefore expected to undertake work which may not be specifically covered in the job description. These additional duties will be compatible with the regular tasks and duties.
