Hike For A Cure Volunteer

This opportunity takes place on 21 Sep 2024 Closing date for applications is 19 Sep.

Hike For A Cure is a series of hikes set in some of the most beautiful locations in the UK. At this event walkers will tackle an 18 mile hike along the magnificent landscape in the Jurassic Coast. Alzheimer’s Research UK are looking for volunteers to help facilitate this fantastic occasion at the start/finish line, as marshals and other supporting roles along the route to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
  • What you will be doing: Marshalling, Start/Finish point support, Sweep marshalling, Refreshments or Photography.
  • Where: Corfe Castle, Dorset, South West England, BH20 5DW. Parking is available for volunteers.
  • When: Saturday 21st September. Volunteer shifts are broadly ‘AM’ (6am-2pm), ‘PM’ (1-7pm) or ‘All Day’ (6am-7pm), however there is some variation dependent on roles – some shifts may start later or finish earlier/later.

As part of this great experience, we’ll provide you with lunch, and a hot meal at the finish. We also plan to have an Hike For A Cure t-shirt for you, so you’ll really look the part!

Alzheimer's Research UK will reimburse reasonable out of pocket expenses such as travel, within agreed guidelines.

PLEASE NOTE: The location of this event is not easilyaccessible via public transport, therefore please only register to volunteer if you are able to drive to the location.
