Volunteer Club Helpers needed at Ferndown Kurling Club, Fridays 10.30am - 12.00pm

This opportunity takes place from 08 Nov 2024

We are looking for people to join our team of volunteers and support us at our Ferndown Kurling Club on Fridays at the Barrington Centre, Penny's Walk, Ferndown at 10.30am to 12.00pm weekly. This role would require you to be positive and demonstrate a willingness to help us deliver a fantastic service to the members of our clubs. Ideally, you will be a team player and happy to get involved in any aspect of the club meetings. This could involve ensuring the venue is safe and welcoming for our members; this will include setting the room up appropriately, helping any members with limited mobility, engaging with our members and helping with the activities and refreshments. You may also have a specific skill or interest you would like to share with our members; we’re always on the lookout for new activities – if so we’d be very interested to hear from you. We encourage volunteers to get involved in the planning of future activities of the club too. Our clubs are largely volunteer led so you will always be working as part of a team of volunteers. If this specific club meeting doesn’t suit your availability, please do get in touch as we have over 80 clubs across Hampshire & Dorset. Why volunteer with Brendoncare? Brendoncare offer a range of services from community support and clubs, through to extra care housing and residential care, helping thousands of people across the South of England. These services are designed to empower people to live their whole life well, and it is largely down to the dedication, kindness and forward thinking of our volunteers that we are able to do so. Brendoncare believes that without diversity we will be unable to fulfil our vision. We would like to hear from people who share a strong belief in our vision and values. We have a range of volunteer roles to suit people, regardless of age, background, or whether you can get out and about or want to volunteer from home; we’d like to hear from you. Keeping you safe in your volunteer role Health & Safety is everyone’s responsibility in law. Our responsibility to keep our volunteers, staff and everyone in Brendoncare safe is embedded at every level of what we do. We want people to have the best experience of working and living with us, we want our staff and volunteers to have the most up to date information and tools, and we want to respond quickly to, and learn from concerns when things aren’t right. What’s next? If this sounds like you, or you would like to find out more about this role, please register your interest and a member of our volunteering team will be in touch with you.
