SimOn is about giving students a voice. We want to hear what all students have to say and make sure every voice is heard and we are excited to announce that this year’s edition of SUBU’s Simple Online Feedback Tool (SimOn) is now live!
SimOn offers students and Student Reps the opportunity to provide feedback on a wide variety of aspects of student life, like their course, the Students’ Union (SUBU) and university facilities.
Whether you’re in Bournemouth or at one of our satellite campuses, SimOn is accessible 24/7 for all students at Bournemouth University.
As with all our feedback collection, the results are shared with SUBU's elected Full-Time Officers and relevant staff at both SUBU and BU, to help drive action to benefit students.
Students can submit three types of feedback:
- What works well
- What works less well
- New ideas
This year, we have simplified SimOn to make it easier for students to give feedback on the issues that are most important to them. These changes were made after multiple consultations with our Student Reps, representing a wide variety of different student experiences.
Additionally, we understand that PGR students face unique experiences so for the first time this year, an alternative version of SimOn will be available for our PGR students. This version was set up in consultation with both PGR students and the Doctoral College and will automatically come up when PGR students select their level on SimOn.
Students will also be able to view summaries of the feedback submitted to SimOn through our Student Feedback SharePoint page! This page will include the results from our Speak Week and How’s SUBU For You surveys and it will be updated monthly, allowing students to regularly get updates on the feedback SUBU is receiving.
