As per her manifesto, Holly, your VP Student Opportunities, wants to expand the number of placement opportunities available to students. To do this, she first wants to better understand the student experience when applying for and when on placements so we are running a focus group with 8 students to find out more about their experiences.
Our main aims are to understand the challenges and barriers students face when applying for placements, to understand what support and guidance students receive when looking for placements and to find out what the ideal placement support that fits students’ needs looks like.
The focus group will take place on Thursday, 30th November from 11:30am to 1:30pm. We require all participants to be current BU students and to have at least considered applying for a placement while studying at BU.
We want the participants to be representative of the wider BU student community. We also want to include students who were successful and not successful when searching for a placement. Therefore, you will be required to fill out an application form, available here.
If selected, you will be contacted by your VP Student Opportunities, Holly Tyack, with additional details. All selected participants will receive a £20 Asda Voucher and you have the right to withdraw your participation at any time.
