Nerve Radio’s 24-hour broadcast raises over £800 for charity

The Students’ Union at Bournemouth University’s award-winning radio station, Nerve Radio, has raised £830 for charity following a 24-hour radio challenge. 

Following the success of last year’s Round the Clock Radio Challenge, six student radio stations came together last month to raise funds for The Teenage Cancer Trust, Epilepsy Action, Mind and The Journey of a Lifetime Trust. 

The award-winning challenge, which took place from the Nerve Radio studio on Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus, saw students host a 24-hour marathon broadcast with a range of special programmes and broadcasts. 

South Regional Officer for the Student Radio Association, Joshua Dodd and Nerve Radio’s Station Manager, Jacob Dyer. were joined in the studio by presenters from Southampton Solent’s Radio Sonar, Southampton’s Surge Radio, Winchester’s Sound Radio and Surrey’s Stag Radio, with Portsmouth’s Pure FM providing live updates from the Isle of Wight Festival.
