Do you want to help make a difference whilst elevating your career? Want to restore the vibrant life that makes Bournemouth University so great and unique?

We’re on the lookout for our next team of Full-Time Officers. You’ll help lead the union, drive the changes you want to see at BU, and be the voice of over 17,000 students. Plus, you’ll earn £25,000 per year!

There are four roles available: PresidentVice President Education, Vice President Student Opportunities and Vice President Welfare & Community. Our Full-Time Officers work on a variety of exciting initiatives whilst receiving training in leadership, project management and much more. You’ll be involved with all aspects of student life and gain useful experience to help your CV stand out from the crowd.

Over the years, our Full-Time Officers have implemented incredible changes to benefit all students. They’ve worked with BU to ensure early access to reading lists, campaigned for a regular bus service to BU’s sports ground Chapel Gate, provided bottle stoppers at the Old Fire Station to help tackle drink spiking, and implemented a Buddy system to support incoming international students.

Any student at BU can stand as a Full-Time Officer – you don’t have to be in your final year, and you certainly don’t have to be a superhero! If you care about making a difference and want to provide the best university experience for others, then this could be the role for you.

All BU students will be invited to vote for who they’d like to see as their new Full-Time Officers. If you decide not to run for a position, voting is the most important step that you can take; YOU can decide who you want to see lead your Students’ Union and drive the changes you want to see.

Fancy being one of our next leaders? Submit your application by 23:59pm on Friday 16th February  at subu.org.uk/elections

Candidates will be announced on Wednesday 21st February , with voting opening on Monday 11th March . Who knows, maybe you could be the next SUBU President.
