Do you need some guidance on how to style your winter clothes for a night out? This article gives you all the ideas and tips to look dressy and warmer for the colder nights!
It’s that time of year again when the nights are much colder and it can be hard to decide what to wear on a night out. You may not want to wear your summer dresses anymore so I’ve planned some ideas for all of you which will be warmer but still cute!
ALL THINGS LEATHER
Faux leather is one of my favourite trends, you can add something leather to any outfit to make it look dressier. My personal favourites are a leather blazer, leather trousers or even a leather corset. Leather can come in all colours, the best for staple pieces are black, cream and brown. With leather trousers, you can pair anything from a plain top to a patterned top to make your outfit next level, this allows you to be stylish but also warm for your night out plans!
JEANS AND FLARES
Some more great staples are good pairs of jeans and flares! Some great styles of jean are straight leg jeans, split hem jeans and mom jeans and obviously the most popular colours are blue, black and white. I love flares because you can dress them up as well as down and they go with everything! Flares also give you comfort in the club and are extremely flattering and hug you in all the right places.
LONG SLEEVE DRESSES
Another great option instead of your strappy dresses are long sleeve dresses, this way you look really dressed up yet are still on the warmer side! I have no photos of myself in a long sleeve dress but any colour will allow you to look stylish and you can pair this outfit with a comfy pair of trainers to be more comfortable for the club.
CUTE CROPS
Having a collection of cute crop tops is a must for going out, there are so many different styles you can pair with a blazer or even style on its own! My favourite styles are corset tops, faux leather tops, halter neck tops, satin tops, tie back tops and obviously, bodysuits – of course there are so many more too! You can style these with any pair of jeans like straight leg, split hem jeans and as previously mentioned faux leather trousers.
LONG SLEEVE TOPS
With the sudden temperature drop, it can be so easy to add layers to your outfit but this may not be the look you’re going for. Therefore, styling long sleeve tops are a game changer as you can be warmer but still look cute! A few of my favourite styles are ruched tops, mesh tops, tie back tops, patterned tops - you can pair these with any kind of bottom. For the patterned tops, I suggest a plainer trouser to keep the attention on your trendy top!
SHOULDER BAGS
A great accessory for your night out are shoulder bags, they are great as they are small enough to carry around a club but big enough to fit in everything you need! You can have a simple black or white bag to pair with your outfit or even add a pop of colour to your look to add some vibrancy.

My favourite shops for all of these ideas are: prettylittlething, shein, zara, bershka, primark, asos and motel rocks.
