AFC Bournemouth fans voiced their frustration at the end of the club's 1-0 defeat to Hull City - a sentiment Cherries boss Scott Parker "understands"
Scott Parker admitted he "can’t control the fans” after fans voiced their displeasure after the club’s 1-0 Championship defeat to Hull City.
Boos rang out around the Vitality Stadium after Ryan Longmans 77th minute winner meant the Cherries registered back-to-back defeats and damaged their hopes of promotion back to the Premier League.
The Cherries dominated the first half but chances from Emiliano Marcondes and Dominic Solanke went begging before a poor second half display ensured all three points went to the away side.
When asked about the fans’ response after the final whistle, Bournemouth head coach, Scott Parker responded: “I can understand that. I can understand from the way the team were in the second half - of course I can.
“I can’t control the fans - we can help them along the way but obviously it is down to us, the 11 on the pitch, to perform and entertain in certain moments and give them that feeling to help us on.
He added: “I understand they came here today, like I did, wanting to win a football match.
“I never expect to win a football match no matter what the competition is or who the opposition is - it is never a given - but yeah, I get their frustration.”
