Three second half goals from Charlie Hitchings, Ben Harris and Josh Taylor fired Ringwood Town through to the next round of the Southampton Senior Cup.

After describing the game as a potential "banana skin" ahead of kick-off, Richard Morse's side cruised through the game and ensured the dream of playng at Southampron's St Mary's Stadium remained alive.

Despite having to field Callum Horton - a central defender - in goal due to regular keeper's Sam reilly and Joel Hirdle being unavailbe Morse's side went into the break all square with the Southampton Saturday League side Tendown Athletic.

Thankfully there was no slip up from the Wessex League side and progression to the next round was confirmed courtesy of the second half performance.

Ringwood manager Richard Morse is hopefull of emulating reaching the final of this competion as a Brockenhurst' player with this Ringwood side and is hopefull the recent turn around in form will help build momentum for the club as the club enter the final few months of the season.
