Scott Parker hopes to return to the top of the table following tonight's fixture against Fulham.
The Cherries head to the capital tonight with an opportunity to return to the top of the Championship.
AFC Bournemouth come out of their last six fixtures with just six points. This is a far cry from their first 15 games of the season, which saw the Dorset club rise to the top of the table. A chance to return to form, as well as knock Fulham off their perch, comes tonight at Craven Cottage.
Bournemouth won’t have an easy game ahead of them though. The Cherries still have seven injuries to their name, with Parker saying on Wednesday that “the treatment rooms been absolutely full".
An unchanged line-up can be expected for the top of the table clash tonight, except for Jefferson Lerma, who is suspended after being sent off on Saturday. There’s a small chance that Lloyd Kelly could make his return tonight, with it being such an important fixture. Parker neither confirmed or denied this in his mid-week conference and just said the clubs injury status is "fairly unchanged.”
When asked about the club 's recent dip in form by NERVE SPORT, Bournemouth’s head coach insisted “it’s definitely not complacency".
He added: “There’s been a dip in form, no doubt about that, there’s a lot of reasons I can point a finger at, technically, tactically, but one I definitely can’t is complacency.”
Parker also addressed the threat of Fulham, and the importance of the fixture.
“We have a good opportunity of trying to get promoted this year, but I see Fulham very similar,” said the head coach.
“They can beat us if we’re not at our best, but vice-versa. If both teams are at their best, it’s going to be a great game.”
Despite the crushing draw on Saturday against Coventry, Parker was very impressed with his team for much of the match, saying “I thought we played very very well for 70 minutes," mentioning the team followed his game plan to a tee, before Lerma’s sending off.
The Cherries will kick off tonight at 7.45pm at Craven Cottage.
