AFC Bournemouth hope to continue their impressive start to the Championship season as they look for another three points at home to Blackpool F.C.
Despite a draw and two defeats to open the season, Blackpool showed in League One exactly why they will be a tough side to defeat. Their current away record is impressive having only lost one in their last 11, and also having the best defensive record in League One season.
Speaking to Nerve Sport, Scott Parker acknowledged Blackpool’s ability and what is expected of his side: “It’s a very well coached and organised team.
“This will be a tough game for us, there are no illusions to that.
“We need to play at an intensity as if you give them too much time, they will play.”
The last time the two sides met was in the 2014/15 season in which Bournemouth won the Championship, and Blackpool were relegated to League One. Parker’s side will no doubt be wanting to achieve promotion at the least, with Blackpool hoping to avoid the bottom three.
It will be a vibrant atmosphere at the Vitality Stadium with the club confirming it will be a “full house”, and with the excitement to watch Bournemouth carry on their impressive start to the campaign.
