AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola says he is “not really paying too much attention” to the rumours that left back Milos Kerkez could be in line for a big move in the January transfer window.

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly both interested in the Cherries left back, who joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2023, after completing a move from AZ Alkmaar for a rumoured £15 million.

However, Iraola was not getting drawn into any of the speculation as he spoke to the media ahead of the Manchester City game, he said: “About the other teams (and their interest in Kerkez), I don’t really pay too much attention to these things.

“I don’t know how much truth there is in these rumours.”

Kerkez has started in every single one of Bournemouth’s Premier League games so far this season, and has impressed with his consistency and defensive stability.

On the full back’s performances so far this campaign, Iraola said: “Milos has been solid this season, he is more mature and he is seeing the benefits of having the experience of going through a past season.

“I think it is a new level for him.”

The full back is still just 20 years old, and Iraola was quick to point out the potential that the Hungarian has, and the chance for additional improvements to his game.

Iraola said: We have to consider he is still very, very young, he has to continue developing like this and also add more things.

“I hope he continues along the same line.”
