Andoni Iraola was disappointed by the way his side ended the game in their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur
The 41-year-old Spaniard took charge of his third competitive fixture as Cherries boss but is still waiting for his first win.
He felt like his side played well but he was disappointed by the response to the second goal. “I was disappointed with the end of the game, I think the team was really playing well, we could have had chances to make it 1-1”.
The midfield battle was the difference between the two sides on a stormy afternoon on the south coast especially in the second half.
Iraola stated: “In the first half we put them in really difficult positions. Bissouma, Maddison they were good, they were winning duels, they were protecting the ball well, probably we didn’t regain many balls because for me they sustained very good possession”.
There were still some positives for Bournemouth, Ryan Christie had a strong showing, especially on the ball: “After the game you think and I shouldn’t off taken Ryan off, he was pressing really well especially when we wanted to be a little more offensive.”
The Cherries have a trip to Wales mid-week in the League Cup as they face Swansea City.
