Under the lights of the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth will host fellow high-flyers Queens Park Rangers as both clubs look to continue their undefeated starts.
Bournemouth’s first game following the end of the summer window resulted in a very dominant display in a 3-0 victory at home to Barnsley.
With the squad bolstered to a point where Parker can be very pleased, the new coach now has an arsenal of attacking and defensive depth available to perform at the required level.
The start of the season saw Parker’s options stretched thanks to injuries and departures, which has resulted in the emergence of some of the club’s standout youngsters. Academy graduate Jordan Zemura being one with his confident displays at left-back, including two goals versus Barnsley.
With the addition of Premier League veteran Gary Cahill, Parker now has a strong mix of talented youngsters and much needed experience to take on the Championship. Cahill’s debut on Saturday showed how his wealth of experience and leadership will see the young squad reap the benefits of his presence.
Now with a nearly fully fit squad and the new additions, Parker’s side will be considered one of the favourites to achieve promotion at the least.
This evening promises to be a fantastic spectacle, with both sides on form in front of goal and determined to stay unbeaten after seven games.
