We are delighted to announce the shortlist for this year’s SUBU Awards.

Hosted by the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University (SUBU), the student-focused awards will recognise and thank those students who have had the biggest impact within the Students’ Union and made an outstanding contribution to enhance the student experience at Bournemouth University (BU).

The awards received nominations from university staff, students and external partners. There are fifteen awards up for grabs, with finalists commended for their contributions to the Students’ Union and the significant difference they have each made to university life.

Jeffery Ononiwu, Vice-President Student Opportunities at SUBU said, “It’s been great to see so many students get involved with SUBU this year. We couldn’t be prouder of everyone who has made positive change at SUBU and BU, especially those who have received a nomination for SUBU Award.

With over 250 nominations submitted, it was very hard to decide on the shortlist, as every one of those students rightfully deserves recognition.

We want to wish everyone who has been shortlisted the best of luck. We can’t wait for the SUBU Awards ceremony next month!”

The winners will be unveiled during a ceremony on Thursday, 8th May 2025 at Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel.

Tickets are now available to those who have been shortlisted. General sale starts on Thursday, 27th April. To reserve your space, visit subu.org.uk/awards.
