SUBU are engaging with UK Parliament Week in 2024 and are exploring opportunities for students to engage with national politics and the work that happens in Parliament. Therefore, we are hosting a Town Hall style event with members of Parliament from local areas to allow students an opportunity to question MP's on important student issues and learn what work is being done to support them and what they can do to be involved in this work. This will be an open floor style of questioning/conversation between MP's and students in attendance to create more open dialogue between both groups. We additionally are pleased to say we expect to have a member of Youth Parliament present at the event to also contribute to asking questions.
