We’re your Students’ Union at Bournemouth University and we’re here to support you throughout your time at Bournemouth University.

We know university requires a lot of hard work, but we’re here to ensure you have fun outside of your studies. We have lots of different opportunities for everyone, including our endless list of Clubs and Societies, Liberation Networks, and our student-run Nerve Media outlets.

The Old Fire Station

Located in the heart of Lansdowne campus, right next to your Halls of Residence, The Old Fire Station is your Students’ Union nightclub. It's home of the biggest and best student nights in town!

Dylan's Kitchen and Bar

Whether you want to grab a coffee in between lectures, or enjoy a bite to each and a drink after a long day, Dylan’s is the place to be. They serve food every weekday ranging from mega fry-ups in the morning to chicken wings, pizzas, burgers or curries through until the evening.

Full-Time Officers

Your Students’ Union is led by a team of four Full-Time Officers – each responsible for a different area – who are elected by BU students to represent everyone. They play an active role in the student community, working to improve the student experience for all.

SUBU Advice

If you ever find yourself struggling during your time at BU, our SUBU Advice team are here for you! They provide free, independent and confidential advice and information in areas such as housing, money, academic and employment.

Student Reps

Elected by their course mates, Student Reps collect feedback and present it to the University, representing their peers and making sure the student voice is heard.

You can find our teams in The Student Centre on Talbot Campus and on the third floor of the Bournemouth Gateway Building in Lansdowne in room BG301.
