Hello everyone,

My name is Siya Ram, and I am honored to stand for the role of Vice-President Welfare & Community. As an international student and an active member of our university, I understand the diverse challenges students face—be it mental well-being, financial struggles, or feeling a sense of belonging in a new environment. My goal is to make our university a place where every student feels supported, heard, and empowered.

If elected, I will focus on:

  1. Mental Health & Well-being – Advocate for increased mental health support, accessible counseling services, and wellness initiatives, ensuring students have a safe space to talk and seek help.
  2. Financial Support & Employment – Work towards more part-time job opportunities and financial aid resources to ease the burden of living costs for students.
  3. Community & Inclusion – Strengthen cultural and social integration through diverse events, support groups, and mentorship programs, ensuring everyone feels at home.
  4. Housing & Accommodation – Address student housing concerns, pushing for fair rental policies, better living conditions, and accessible housing resources.
  5. Sustainability & Safety – Promote sustainable practices within our campus while ensuring student safety in accommodation, nightlife, and public spaces.

My experience as a student, a part-time worker, and an active community member gives me the insight and determination to represent your concerns effectively. I am here to be your voice and work towards a university that truly prioritizes student welfare.

Let’s build a stronger, more connected, and supportive community together! Vote for me as your Vice-President Welfare & Community.

Your Voice, Your Welfare, Your Community!
