If elected I would aim to:
-improve course content delivery, although our course content is great, it’s delivery can be improved upon by prioritizing presenting information in clear, concise terms regardless of levels of study.
- improve teaching methods by incorporating examples and more interactive learning materials, by getting students involved with real examples and short knowledge testing quizzes in between classes.
- Work with the timetable team to seek to improve timetabling and scheduling of courses, by putting classes together so people will not have to commute to school for one class
- I would also work on overall organization of courses, in terms of the structure and running of the courses so it has a clear cut plan and someone who ensures that plan runs smoothly
I think these aims will have a positive impact on students because it would improve their education on all levels
In my experience as student representative for MA Multimedia Journalism course and editor on our academic news days I have developed the following skills of leadership, accountability, feedback and communication I believe these make me an ideal candidate.
