Hello, I am Esther Chinenye Isaiah, and I am running to be Your next SUBU President.
Currently, I am in the process of attaining my master's degree in International Political Communication here at Bournemouth University. Also, I am a student representative for my course. I have my undergraduate degree in International Studies and Diplomacy and a Masters in Development Studies from Nigeria.
As the student representative and my active involvement in the university, I have had the opportunity to interact and understand various challenges faced by students. This is why I am running for this position. I hope to take the lead to ensure all the changes you want are enacted.
All my life, I have always had to represent people, lead a team, serve, and show up for people. This includes different leadership positions with my student union in previous studies, a Project Coordinator for eHealth Africa, a UN SDG volunteer, and a business owner in Nigeria.
I am a skilled leader and strategic communicator looking to channel my skills and experience in advocating and improving the experiences of all students both in Lansdowne and Talbot campuses.
I have 4 goals:
Engage the school management to collaborate with reputable firms and organize more recruitment fairs to expand placement and job opportunities available to students.
Ensure that the ‘community kitchen’ stays afloat and ensure that food available on campus is more inclusive and affordable in both Talbot and Lansdowne campuses.
Ensure students with mental health concerns and disabilities are properly supported and introduce support services to address concerns over rising cost of living.
Work with diverse communities to ensure their respective challenges are addressed and international students settle in smoothly.
For a better and inclusive student experience, VOTE ESTHER #1 FOR SUBU PRESIDENT
