I am currently studying for an MSc (Innovation, Management, and Entrepreneurship). I am standing for the position of Vice President of Welfare and Community. The reason why I am standing for this post is to support the students studying at this university. My objective is to understand the downfalls of welfare and our community and adhere to making improvements. I have many skills and work experience because I have worked as a youth worker voluntarily.

Objectives

I aim to implement and establish Health and Wellbeing officers within society committees and provide them with the appropriate training and support, so they can help their club members effectively. To make sure that students feel safe when they are on a night out, that includes being in the club and when walking home after. Work with all sports and societies to encourage diversity and inclusion within their clubs, providing information on inclusive language and how to use it correctly. Finally, I aim to help make the university more sustainable by working with them and helping to take steps to reduce our carbon footprint via the ‘road to zero carbon’ strategy that is already in place.
