In February 2026 there will be NATIONAL STUDENT VOLUNTEERING WEEK. In February 2025 we
organised Volunteering Events every day such as making bird seed feeders, hosting a beach clean, hosting a Tea
Party, and a VOLUNTEERING FAIR where students could chat to local charities and sign up
for volunteering. Keep an eye on our SUBU What's On page for National Student Volunteering Week events in
2026.
Volunteering as a crisis line text volunteer has shown me the power of
empathy and support. It’s incredibly rewarding to help others through tough times, and I encourage
all BU students to get involved and make a difference. "
- Libby Moxey, Student Volunteer of the Year 2025
