“Possibility” Danjuma will go admits Parker

AFC Bournemouth have been without their star man Arnaut Danjuma throughout pre-season due to injury – but Cherries boss Soctt Parker revealed the forward may leave the club this summer.

The Dutch winger had an excellent season last year, scoring 15 and assisting 7 in 33 Championship appearances for the Dorset club, but has not featured at all in pre-season.

If Danjuma were to leave the club then it could provide an opportunity for Jaidon Anthony to stake a claim in the first team.

The 21-year is one of several youngsters to impress during pre-season and will be hoping to start against the Dons after recovering from a broken wrist, which saw the forward sit out of the Chelsea game in midweek.

It is consistency that Parker will be looking for next from Anthony, like all young players it is the next step in solidifying a place in the first team, with Parker saying “that’s the difference” between those who remain with the first team and those that drop back into the under 21’s.
