Bournemouth FC travelled to Hampshire to play Alresford Town in the Wessex Premier Division on Tuesday, losing 3-2 at Alreby Park as the club lost their ninth game of the season as their poor start to the season continued.

Lewis Harvey and Matt Steer scored for the visitors but it wasn’t enough as the Winton-based side conceded three away from home to fellow strugglers Alresford Town, and remain eighteenth, five points clear of Christchurch on nine points.

Bournemouth will look to change their fortunes in the FA Vase first round as they travel to Cornwall to face Wendron United this weekend. The game will be a challenge however, as Wendron United compete in the sixth tier, three tiers above the Dorset side. This is compounded by the fact Wendron will be coming off the back of a 6-1 demolition of Bovey Tracey with player Joe Souch scoring a hat trick.
