► How Leadership Training works

 Here’s your step-by-step guide:

1. Check your involvement in SUBU to ensure that you can register:

Examples of SUBU involvement:
• Member of a Club & Society
• A Student or School Rep
• Taking part in Nerve Media – radio, TV or magazine
• Member of our Executive Committee
• Welcome Crew member
• Member of the Volunteer Committee or generally involved in our volunteering and registered on thehub
• Duty Managers or staff from Dylan’s Bar, the Shop or The Firestation

2. Sign up with Student Development Training and tell us that you would like Leadership Training – we’ll then add you to our Leadership Group.

3. Check the Friday emails from Student Development Training to find out what workshops we are running the following week

4. Book onto the workshop you need – it’s very important to do this to reserve your place on each workshop as demand can be high.

5. Complete a log after each workshop (no log needed for the Bronze SUBU Uncovered workshop):


 - Download the log and follow the instructions on it
  - Send each fully completed log to subuleadership@bournemouth.ac.uk

6. Once you have completed at least 3 workshops, take part in a volunteering opportunity for each level :



- Choose your volunteering opportunity by registering on thehub website and searching through the opportunities OR you might already be doing your own volunteering by being involved in SUBU, so email the team about using that

- Apply for and take part in the volunteering

 -  Complete a log for the volunteering - download it from the same page as the workshop log

 -  Send your completed volunteering log to subuleadership@bournemouth.ac.uk

7. You’re done! Receive a T-shirt and certificate for each level you complete.
